NSF (National Science Foundation) Track

If you have questions about the track events or wish to sign up for the One-on-Ones, please contact Dr. Wenbin Yu or IMECE

In this forum, National Science Foundation (NSF) will provide various avenues for the IMECE community to interact with program directors from the Civil, Mechanical and Manufacturing Innovation (CMMI) Division and the Chemical, Bioengineering, Environmental, and Transport Systems (CBET) Division. The track includes announcements of new NSF opportunities, 1-on-1 meetings with NSF program directors, and a student-centered IMECE-wide poster session for NSF-funded research.

Wednesday, November 2, 7:30AM - 8:30AM Eastern Daylight Time

This NSF-sponsored hot breakfast will open to all attendees, particularly minority and underrepresent groups, untenured faculty members, and close-to-graduation students. Each table will have a theme (e.g. "The First Year as a Professor" or "Increasing Diversity in Academic Settings") with a mentor/moderator.

CBETWednesday, November 2, 8:30AM - 9:15AM Eastern Daylight Time

Representatives from CBET will introduce new funding opportunities and current NS opportunities from their respective divisions and have a live Q&A with the audience about the opportunities. These presentations will be of greatest benefit to current faculty members (all ranks) at US Institutions.
