ASME Solar Energy Division and Advanced Energy Systems Division

Student Award and Early Career and Underrepresented Institutions Award

ASME's Solar Energy Division and Advanced Energy Systems Division are pleased to announce two new awards designed to support and broaden participation in the Energy Sustainability Conference.

All applicants should wait to register until hearing about awards. Awardees will be given a code that will apply the discount at the time of registration.

The Student Award is open to graduate or undergraduate students actively pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree with a paper, technical presentation, or poster at the 2023 Energy Sustainability conference. The award celebrates student scholarship and recognizes the important role that students play in the future of the Energy Sustainability conference.

Awardees will be given a $260 discount on their conference registration and are encouraged to expand their participation in the SED and AESD divisions through the division technical committees and/or in the organization of the 2024 Energy Sustainability conference.

To qualify, students must be an ASME student member* and complete the short application form, linked below. Students with demonstrated financial need are especially encouraged to apply and will be given first priority when selecting award recipients. We anticipate granting up to 50 Student Awards.

Registration Policy: Student registration rates are only available to undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled full time and have not yet received their Ph.D. Post-docs may not register as students. An official school I.D. will be requested on-site at the conference.
