Doctoral Symposium Description
The Doctoral Symposium is an opportunity for doctoral students who will graduate soon (within a year) or a recently graduated doctoral student to showcase their doctoral dissertation research in various advanced manufacturing research areas. The symposium will also provide universities and industrial companies with an opportunity to identify excellent candidates for job openings targeting Ph.D. graduates in advanced manufacturing.
Students participating in the Doctoral Symposium must submit a two-page abstract and a 100-200 words biography with a headshot photograph by February 27, 2026.
There will be a selection process to invite selective submissions for presentation in the Doctoral Symposium. Accepted participants will provide a 10-minute oral presentation on their doctoral research, followed by 5 minutes for questions and answers. Submissions not accepted for the doctoral symposium will be automatically considered for the poster presentation. Authors will be notified of acceptance for the symposium presentation by March 20, 2026. The selected participants must commit to in-person attendance and presentation at the conference.
A brochure of the Doctoral Symposium can be accessed throughout the conference. Conference attendees will be encouraged to check the abstracts and biographies displayed before the doctoral symposium presentation session on Day 1 of the conference.
