Project: Mission to the Moon

Students at the Dayton Regional STEM School worked in the winter and spring of 2022 to design origami-inspired furnishings and shelter for a moon habitat. In a multi-subject curriculum involving art, engineering, math, language arts, Chines language and U.S. history, the students were asked to develop a debate-in-a-box interactive product that addresses the driving question: When considering space explorations, are Humanity’s interests better served by collaboration or competition among countries?
