Brandon Chisholm, PhD is a Senior Research Engineer for the Advanced Nuclear Group within Southern Company Services. His major areas of focus and expertise include risk-informed and performance-based safety, licensing, and regulation of non-light water reactor designs – including integration of the safety case for DOE authorization of TerraPower’s Molten Chloride Reactor Experiment and leadership of a series of industry-led and DOE cost-shared regulatory modernization efforts (e.g., Technology-Inclusive Content of Application Project and Technology-Inclusive Management of Safety Case efforts). Brandon also serves as the Vice Chair for the ANS Risk-informed, Performance-based Principles and Policy Committee (RP3C) and as a member on both the ANS Standards Board and the Research and Advanced Reactor Consensus Committee.
