Mr. Matthews is currently a Technical Consultant with Framatome, Inc. and has been involved in the design, fabrication, and installation of nuclear power plant components built to ASME Section III for 35 years. His experience includes design of components and systems for new nuclear plants as well as replacement components for operating plants such as steam generators, reactor vessel heads, pressurizers, primary piping, and CRDMs. He also has extensive experience in Section XI repair/replacement activities, including heavy component replacements, specialty weld repairs, and reactor internals repairs and modifications. Mr. Matthews is also very involved in ASME nuclear codes and standards committees and is the current chair of the Section III Standards Committee and holds membership on various other Section III and Section XI committees, and is an ASME Fellow.
