
Taunia Sandquist
Los Alamos National Laboratory
As a chemical engineer, Taunia Sandquist has built a distinguished career spanning over 35 years across diverse fields, including engineering, safeguards and security, environmental management, construction, and as a Quality Assurance Manager on multi-billion-dollar projects. On the international stage, she represents the United States on the IAEA Task Group for "Codes and Standards, Design engineering, Testing, and Manufacturing of Components of Small Modular Reactors" She serves on ASME Board of Nuclear Codes and Standards (BNCS) and is currently the Chair of the NQA-1 Committee. During her career Taunia has worked and managed people and projects at numerous nuclear and high-hazard chemical operating facilities and DOE laboratories. For the last 30 years she has worked for Los Alamos National Laboratory.
