Mr. Travis Chapman is the Director of Regulatory and Licensing activities for BWXT’s Advanced Technologies division. In this role, he is responsible for the licensing and regulatory matters for space and terrestrial nuclear energy solutions for government, defense, and commercial applications in the innovation side of the organization.
Travis has over 23 years of experience in the nuclear energy industry, including leadership within two advanced reactor development startups, roles in Federal service at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board, and as faculty at the U.S. Naval Academy. He began his career as a submarine officer and continues to serve in the Navy Reserves.
