Haaken Lysne is an engineer at GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) and works in the Gen. IV business with the Advanced Design & Development team. He graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nuclear engineering with highest honors from North Carolina State University and started graduate coursework toward a Master's degree in nuclear engineering. In his role at GEH, his work focus has been in Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) design and development, which has included techno-economic modeling and analysis of integrated thermal energy storage, systems modeling/transient analysis of passive safety decay heat removal systems, design optimization of primary/secondary heat transport components, and thermal hydraulic methods.
