Joshua Best is a highly accomplished professional engineer in the field of mechanical engineering, with 16-years' experience spanning various industries. He began his career at Sargent & Lundy as a mechanical design engineer in the nuclear power technologies division where he also served in the roles of program manager, site lead, and mechanical design lead within the Sargent & Lundy Chattanooga office.
Best then joined FTD Solutions Inc., serving the semiconductor and advanced facilities industries. As the Director of Projects and Vice President of Innovation, he played a crucial role in driving the development of proprietary digital twin software, the Water Management Application. This groundbreaking software has revolutionized water infrastructure management for industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities. He also led the development of their next generation software solution, the Energy Management Application which enables clients to make informed decisions considering both water management and energy management strategies.
Currently, he oversees Sargent & Lundy's program of projects for the U.S. Department of State's Foundational Infrastructure for the Responsible Use of Small Modular Reactor Technology (FIRST) Program and Project Phoenix.
