Phil Malone is the Core Power Engineering Program Manager, responsible for providing the strategic, technical and design leadership required to bring advanced nuclear energy technologies to the maritime sector. He has 30 years of nuclear and ship building experience with the US Navy including tours as Commanding Officer of the Engineering Duty Officer School, Major Program Manager FORD Class Aircraft Carrier New Construction (PMS 379) and Reactor Officer on USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN72). He earned a Bachelor of Science from the US Merchant Marine Academy in Marine Engineering Systems and a Master of Science/Engineer’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School. He has an active USCG Engineers License and is DAU Level 3 certified in Program Management and Production, Quality & Manufacturing.
