Diana Wegner is a staff researcher in the Manufacturing Systems and Controls Department of the Manufacturing Systems Research Laboratory at General Motors Research and Development. She has worked in the areas of manufacturing analytics, artificial intelligence, machine vision, virtual manufacturing, digital human modeling, and robotics for over 37 years. She received a BS in Computer Science & Applied Mathematics at Western Michigan University and an MS in Computer Science, focusing on artificial intelligence, robotics & numerical analysis at Oakland University. Ms. Wegner was a Manufacturing Institute 2021 STEP Ahead Award Honoree and she served on the USCar Ergonomic Task Force, the University of Michigan Human Motion Simulation (HUMOSIM) Partnership and is a founding member of the International Society for Human Simulation.
