AIM-ALE Asset Integrity Management - Ageing and Life Extension Conference

Clarion Hotel Energy, Stavanger, Norway

Conference: September 21 – 24, 2020

The Asset Integrity Management – Ageing and Life Extension Conference will focus on solutions to address the technological challenges of extending the life of ageing facilities such as process and production equipment, pipelines and fixed and mobile structures whose original design life has been exhausted. The conference will include topics such as emerging technologies for the measurement of damage levels, analytical tools to quantify degradation rates with focus on probabilistic developments, case histories and defining the way forward to develop recommended practices and standards.

This conference will follow the ASME conference structure of peer review process, web tool procedures and approval protocols. The conference will address the following topics:

  1. Experience of ageing facilities and installations
  2. Life extension strategies and regulatory requirements
  3. Fatigue analysis of ageing facilities
  4. Strength analysis of ageing facilities (including extreme weather loading)
  5. Inspection planning for ageing facilities
  6. Inspection and repair methods
  7. Re-use and decommissioning

In addition, the conference will host a special regulatory session that will include invited key regulators to discuss regulatory approaches to life extension and decommissioning.
