Ageing and Life Extension Conference, AIM-ALE 2021
Offshore oil and gas production is a mature industry and much of the infrastructure is approaching or has exceeded its original design life. This introduces the requirement for procedures specific to the integrity management of ageing components and the extension of the operational life beyond the design life to enable safe and economic production. The Asset Integrity Management – Ageing and Life Extension Conference, AIM-ALE 2021, will focus on the regulatory and technological challenges associated with extending the life of ageing offshore facilities, including process / production equipment, pipelines and fixed / mobile structures.
AIM-ALE 2021 will follow the ASME conference structure entailing peer review, web tool procedures and approval protocols. The conference will address (a) management systems for a wide range of offshore components and structures and (b) relevant technologies, including emerging technologies for the measurement of damage levels, analytical tools to quantify degradation with a focus on probabilistic developments, case histories and definition of the way forward to develop recommended practices and standards. The conference will address the following aspects:
Topic 1. ALE Case History and Management Systems
Sessions:
1.1 Fixed structures
1.2 Floating structures, including mooring & risers
1.3 Mobile structures, including mooring systems
1.4 Production & Topside Facilities
1.5 Pipeline systems
1.6 Subsea systems
1.7 Renewable energy systems
1.8 Standardization
Topic 2. ALE Technology
Sessions:
2.1 Experience of ageing facilities / installations
2.2 Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
2.3 Fatigue analysis
2.4 Strength analysis
2.5 Extreme environmental loading assessment
2.6 Risk Assessment Method
2.7 Inspection, Monitoring & Repair Planning & Methods
