ASME's Solar Energy Division and Advanced Energy Systems Division are pleased to offer this award designed to support and broaden participation in the Energy Sustainability Conference.

The Early Career and Underrepresented Institutions Award is designed to support scholars who may have more barriers to attendance than others. It is open to scholars in the first five to eight years after receiving their final degrees and scholars from underrepresented institutions.
For the Energy Sustainability conference, underrepresented institutions include predominantly undergraduate institutions, Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic-Serving Institutions, Native American-Serving Institutions, and Institutions in the Global South.
Awardees* will receive a conference registration discount of $375 (equivalent to 50% of the member registration fee).

Scholars with demonstrated financial need will be given first priority when selecting award recipients. We anticipate granting up to 16 of these awards.
