Ihab Ragai

Dr. Ihab Ragai is an Associate Professor at Penn State University, The Behrend College in Erie, USA. He also serves as a Visiting Professor at Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences in Germany. He holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from McGill University in Canada. Prior to joining academia, he spent over two decades in industry where he held several technical and managerial positions worldwide. His research areas are focused on machine and system design, advanced manufacturing processes, materials constitutive formulation, cloud manufacturing and machine and tool condition monitoring. Dr. Ragai is actively engaged in various professional activities. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the North American Manufacturing Research Institution of SME (NAMRI/SME), and the Chairman of ASME Manufacturing Processes Technical Committee. He is also an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Manufacturing Research and a Guest Editor of the Journal of Manufacturing Systems. Dr. Ragai is a registered professional engineer in Canada and the USA. He is also a Certified Manufacturing Engineer. He is a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and a DAAD research fellow in Germany.
