Dr. Malisa Sarntinoranont is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida. She has an active role in the department's large graduate program (~500 students), serving as the graduate coordinator (2016-2021) and co-chair of graduate admissions and recruitment (2014-2016). She has coordinated numerous graduate school recruitment events, developed new admissions policies, and reviewed many, many graduate applications.
Dr. Sarntinoranont has also been a research advisor to over 25 graduate students and 50 undergraduate students. Her training is in biomechanical engineering (B.M.E. from Georgia Tech, M.S. & Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley) with expertise is in transport and soft tissue mechanics. She is an author on over 100 journal articles and conference proceedings. Dr. Sarntinoranont is also a Fellow of ASME.
