Steven Seachman

Steven Seachman is a Senior Principal Technical Leader in the Process Control and Automation Program (P227) at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). The program is part of the Generation Sector at EPRI and his R&D areas of focus include advanced and adaptive controls, instrumentation, and data analytics. Steve was an R&D portfolio manager for the Crosscutting Research and Analysis Program at the U.S. Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), which included sensors and controls, high-performance materials, simulation-based engineering, water management R&D, and university training and research. While at NETL, he managed projects in the areas of gasification, coal and biomass to liquid fuel, hydrogen from coal, sensors and controls, coal utilization sciences, computational system dynamics, and computational energy sciences in large collaborations. Seachman has Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University.
