Thank you again for your participation in the Virtual Smart Materials, Intelligent Systems and Adaptive Structures Conference (SMASIS), which will be held on September 14-15, 2021.
ASME requires all presenting authors to meet the following conditions to participate: at least one author of the presentation must be registered, a signed speaker release form, a 1-slide Quad Chart, to be presented live, and a 10-min pre-recorded video, hosted OnDemand. See more information here.
Please log in to your author account to sign the form and upload your video and Quad Chart by August 16, 2021.
Instructions
To sign your speaker release form, go to "Needs Attention" and select either US Federal Government form or the form for One/Joint/Designated non-US government authors. Then sign the appropriate form digitally and click "save."
To upload your video, click "file upload" on the field below the speaker release and upload the video file in the indicated format. Click "save and finalize" when done to finalize your submission. All videos must be in .mp4 or .mov format.
IMPORTANT: Pre-recorded videos will NOT be shown during the conference. Each pre-recorded video presentation will be available OnDemand at the start of the conference and for 3 months after. The SMASIS2021 Committee requires authors to submit a Quad Chart to present during the technical session. One author from each paper/presentation will deliver LIVE a 5-minute “teaser” presentation of their research. This presentation will be formatted as a 1-slide quad chart (based on the template provide below). The session chair will compile all quad charts and display these during the session. Presenters will simply unmute and speak during their presentation.
To submit your Quad Chart, please use this Quad Chart Template and upload it to your account by clicking "file upload" under the Quad Chart field. Click Save when file is uploaded. The quad chart (.pptx file) is to be submitted by August 16, 2021, and the file size limit is 32 MB.
- Authors must provide a pre-recorded presentation with narration.
