The first location is the [H2] Innovation Experience which is North America's first-ever clean renewable hydrogen powered microgrid and home located in Downey. This project demonstrates how net-zero gas made from renewable electricity can be used in pure form or as a blend to fuel energy systems and communities of the future.
The second location will be the Living Lab demonstration site in Pico Rivera, where the feasibility of blending 25–35% hydrogen by volume into existing natural gas infrastructure will be evaluated by simulating system operations. The demonstration includes steel and plastic pipelines and components, a pressure regulator station, and a compressor.
- Closed toed shoes and pants are required.
