While the concept of moving energy through a pipeline dates back to the 1800s, the industry has always adapted to meet the needs of the times. Today, our energy companies are more similar to the technology firms dominating the news than the companies they started as in the past.

Please join our distinguished panel of innovation leaders in the energy sector as we discuss how industry is driving innovation to continue to enhance our safety systems and the protection of the environment as well as and what makes them excited about the future of energy systems.

Sheri Baucom

Bio: Sheri Baucom currently serves as Director of Business Development for Q-Inline overseeing marketing and global partnerships, as well as curating and maintaining client relationships. Previously, she served as Director of Integrity Services for RCP, Inc. where she managed all integrity projects associated with in-line inspection and pressure testing, building upon her experience as an ILI engineer working for Williams Gas Pipeline. She has worked 10+ years in the oil and gas industry and is passionate about pipeline integrity and supporting young people in the industry through YPP USA. She graduated from Georgia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in Polymer Engineering. She is originally from Chattanooga, TN and currently lives in Houston, TX

Chris Foster 

Bio: As Vice-President, Information Services and Chief Information Officer, Mr. Foster is responsible for all Information Services and technology needs across TC Energy, including critical services such as cyber security and digital transformation. Since joining TC Energy in 2016, Mr. Foster has held a number of progressively senior positions in Information Services, including Chief Information Security Officer. Mr. Foster's previous experience includes 20 years in various IT leadership roles in the oil and gas, telecommunications and education sectors. In that time, he was responsible for IT infrastructure, network, architecture and leading the development of business enablement solutions. Mr. Foster is a volunteer member of the Digital Technology Advisory Council at SAIT, which provides insights on industry trends to the institution's new program focused on the latest in digital education. Mr. Foster holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne (United Kingdom) as well as post-graduate qualifications in legal practice and information technology.

 

Bhushan Ivaturi

Bio: With over two decades of international leadership, Bhushan Ivaturi has led the business of technology, and shaped and transformed organizations in several industries.

As the Senior Vice President and global Chief Digital and Information Officer of Enbridge (NYSE/TSE: ENB), Bhushan leads all the functions of Information Technology; Cybersecurity; Business Process Simplification; Operational Technology; Data and Digital. Bhushan has shaped the digital strategy for the company and transformed Technology and Information Services into a Strategic Enabler for Enbridge.

Prior to Enbridge, he was Vice President and global CIO at AP Moller Maersk, where he led and transformed the global data, cybersecurity, information and industrial technology and built the digital strategy. Before Maersk, Bhushan served as an executive at General Electric (GE) for 15 years. Prior to GE, Bhushan drove outcomes in the high-technology sector, leading demand and supply chains and performed in various roles including product management, technology management and software engineering. Bhushan has a track record of raising the competitiveness, differentiation and scalability of any business, developing winning teams and talent.

 

David J. Howard, P.Eng.

Executive Director, Product
David is currently an Executive Director in the product group at Enverus, a multi-billion dollar vertical SaaS company, after previously serving as a member of the Executive team at RS Energy Group. The Calgary-based technology company, acquired by Warburg Pincus in January 2016 for US$120 million, was sold to Austin-based Enverus in February 2020 for a Bloomberg-reported US$1 billion. Working closely with Enverus’ chief data scientist, David heads Enverus’ 75 person strong integrated technology and product team dedicated to delivering platform based advanced analytics to clients that span the financial and energy sectors. A registered professional engineer (petroleum and chemical) in Alberta, he received a bachelor of engineering science from Western University in 2001.
