IPC 2020 Innovating. Collaborating. Sharing

IPC Delegates, Sponsors and Long-standing Supporters,

We wanted to share with you how pleased we are with IPC 2020 that was hosted virtually. As we have all experienced throughout this year, adapting to change and creating innovative solutions real-time is a key to success. There are so many members of the Organizing Committee and Technical Committee that put forward significant time and energy to create the success of IPC 2020. Thanks to all that contributed to its success!!!

While the IPC experience and process will remain generally unchanged going forward, we did want to share some changes. It may not be common knowledge but the IPC Conference (Conference) functions through the IPC Foundation (IPCF) that is comprised of Board of Directors representing ASME and CEPA. IPCF is the established not-for-profit corporation that has established by-laws and agreements, and is the entity that maintains certain administrative aspects of the Conference. As a result of changes within CEPA and competing priorities, CEPA has decided to withdrawal its formalized support to the Foundation. CEPA has been an incredible partner in the Foundation for the past 20-years and while they will support the Conference in a less formal role, their leadership and contributions will be greatly missed.

Going forward, ASME will take on all administrative aspects for the Conference that were previously administered through the Foundation. This transition should be seamless especially since ASME has expanded its role in the Conference Management over the past several cycles. In the near future, ASME will provide additional details and expects to rely upon the industry leaders currently providing support through both the Conference and IPCF.
