If you are interested in showcasing a visual aspect of your research (e.g. a photograph of an experimental setup, an image from your analysis, technical diagrams, or other art derived from your research), we are seeking submissions now!
Submissions will be shared with the entire #SBC2025 community, and community voting will be used to determine the top ranked entries. Awards will be announced on banquet night.

Eligibility
- Your submission must be directly related to an accepted abstract that you are a co-author on. Abstract acceptance will be verified internally when final programming is complete in Spring of 2025.
- Additionally, it should not be an image or visual that is, either in part or whole, from a previously published work (paper or conference abstract).
- Images generated using AI-based tools such as Dall-E and equivalent are not going to be considered for this contest.
Submission Requirements for Image/Visual
- Your image/visual must be able to fit within a Letter sized (8.5” X 11”) paper – since the winning contribution will feature in the proceedings book.
- We require high resolution images/visuals – 300 dpi minimum.
- There are no restrictions in terms of color vs grayscale etc.
- Your image/visual must have minimal text (i.e. plot axes are ok, but names, faces, affiliations and other notations must be obscured or removed, obscure any brand names and logos from your images, failure to adhere to this may lead to rejection of your cover art submission)
- Vector graphics image formats are preferred (such a, .eps, .svg, etc). High resolution pdf files for images are also great. For standard image formats: .tiff and .png formats are preferred over .jpg and bitmap formats.
- Raw editable files from Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape etc. are not allowed. The image/visual – when uploaded – must be in its final form.

Submissions must be completed using the web form linked below.
For your submission, you will need to provide in the form the following:
- Your image/visual (make sure you are following all requirements above)
- Submitting author name, email, and affiliations. (must match your submitted abstract)
- All co-author name, email, and affiliations. (must match your submitted abstract)
- Brief title of your image: no more than 1 sentence.
- A brief (1 paragraph) caption describing what your cover art shows (this and your author names and affiliations will appear in print inside the program book)
- Title of your abstract submitted for SBC2025 (it must match exactly, as we will use this for cross-referencing)
- You must agree to the Confirmation and Release Statement as the presenting author of the related abstract
