ASME Summer Heat Transfer Conference (SHTC)

This symposium is organized by the K14 (Gas Turbine Heat Transfer (Technical Committee and honors the legacy of Professor Je-Chin Han on his 80th birthday. This issue will honor Dr. JC Han's almost 50 years of contribution to gas turbine heat transfer and in general to experimental heat transfer studies. Many of his pioneering contributions to internal cooling channel design, film cooling studies, and experimental techniques such as Liquid crystal methods, Pressure sensitive paints-based measurements will be recognized through this special issue.
The Scope of this Issue Includes But Is Not Limited to:
- Gas turbine heat transfer and cooling systems
- Experimental heat transfer measurement techniques
- Film cooling
- Internal cooling with ribs, impingement, and pin fins
- Heat transfer enhancement designs
Journal Special Issue: Selected papers will be considered for review and publication in a Special Issue of the ASME Journal of Thermal Science and Engineering Applications.
Best Paper Award: The authors of the best presentation will be recognized for their outstanding work during SHTC 2027 Awards Luncheon with the Warren Rohsenow Prize.
