Dr. Ning Zhang is a professor of mechanical engineering at McNeese State University. He has been a research scientist in the field of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) with applications in mechanical, aerospace, and hydraulic engineering for the past 20 years. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University in 2005. He continued his postdoctoral research at the Institute for Environmental Research from 2006 to 2008, Dr. Zhang joined the Department of Engineering at McNeese State University in 2008. At McNeese State University, Dr. Zhang led research in CFD and coastal hydraulic modeling. Dr. Zhang has achieved national and international acclaim among his peers, particularly through numerous publications at peer-reviewed international journals, presentations at international conferences, as well as organizing numerous technical symposiums and forums. Dr. Zhang is a fellow of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). He is currently Executive Committee member of ASME Fluids Engineering Division (FED). He has chaired FED CFD Technical Committee and Honor and Award Committee, and is an associate editor of ASME Journal of Fluids Engineering.
