About ASME's International Conference on Environmental Remediation and Radioactive Waste Management® (ICEM®)

ASME's ICEM is the premier global conference focused on nuclear power plant decommissioning, nuclear waste management, radioactive decontamination, environmental remediation, and other key topics at the intersection of nuclear engineering and environmental systems engineering.

About Environmental Systems Division (ESD)

ASME Environmental Systems Division promotes the art, science and practice of engineering in all issues pertaining to the environment. Originally, the Division’s main business was pollution controls for emissions from electric power generation plants (e.g., Flue Gas Desulfurization, NOx Control, etc.). Today, the Division fosters developments and applications in air, ground, and water pollution technologies and is breaking ground into many multi-disciplinary areas of the environment.

The ESD disseminates information on the technical and economic aspects of environmental technologies through the publication of technical papers and by sponsoring conferences and training courses.

About Nuclear Engineering Division (NED)

ASME Nuclear Engineering Division focuses on the design, analysis, development, testing, operation and maintenance of reactor systems and components, nuclear fusion, heat transport, nuclear fuels technology and radioactive waste.

About ASME

ASME is a not-for-profit membership organization that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing, career enrichment, and skills development across all engineering disciplines, toward a goal of helping the global engineering community develop solutions to benefit lives and livelihoods. Founded in 1880 by a small group of leading industrialists, ASME has grown through the decades to include more than 140,000 members in 151 countries.

For more than 100 years, ASME has successfully enhanced performance and safety worldwide through its renowned codes and standards, conformity assessment programs, training courses, and journals.

ASME also produces nearly 40 international conferences. These industry-leading events feature advanced research and technical content spanning a range of industries impacted by mechanical engineering, including energy production, energy sources, advanced manufacturing, and engineering sciences.
