Dr. Zahra Shahbazi

Dr. Zahra Shahbazi is a professor of mechanical engineering and the Chair of the Council for Faculty Affairs (CFA) at Manhattan University. Her research focuses on AI-driven inspection and machine vision, engineering education, nano-biorobotics, finite element analysis, and additive manufacturing. She has secured over $1.8 million in external funding, primarily from the National Science Foundation (NSF).
Dr. Shahbazi's teaching portfolio includes a broad range of courses, from foundational engineering principles to advanced topics like Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing. She has also served as Chair of ASME's IDETC-DEC conference, an NSF grant reviewer, and Director of the Mechanical Engineering Summer Institute for High School Students.
