The ASME 2020 Turbo Expo Conference (TE20) was scheduled to take place in London, United Kingdom June 22 – 26. However, the current global situation prevents the face to face event from taking place. In response to the survey results from the IGTI and the Turbo Expo community, the ASME IGTI Executive Committee would like to acknowledge the tremendous amount of effort the organizers and authors have contributed in creating the content for TE20 by providing the opportunity to present the content via a virtual event.
We know you have many questions and you can expect more detailed information in the coming weeks.
For now, the following information is confirmed:
- The dates for the virtual event are September 21 – 25, 2020.
- If you are an author of an accepted final paper, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your virtual presentation participation and availability. This email will include additional technical program schedule information as well as information on getting your paper published.
- If you are a committee chair, track chair, or session chair, you will receive an email with additional technical program information.
While none of us expected or welcomed the present situation, we are excited about developing our virtual event and look forward to working with you in making this a success.
Our thoughts are with you, your families, and your colleagues during these difficult times. Please stay safe and healthy.
We will provide updates on this website with additional information as it relates to the TE20 virtual event. Thank you.
The next update to this information is scheduled next Wednesday.

“The ASME Turbo Expo is a must-attend show for networking, for providing a technical awareness, as well as corporate visibility.”
- Allan Volponi, Retired Senior Fellow, Pratt & Whitney
“I still enjoy seeing the conversations that spontaneously occur; a student might talk to a renowned professor, a young designer at one company might meet a senior expert working at another company.”
- Patricia Cargill, Principal Engineer, GE Aviation
