The VISA requirements are the sole responsibility of the individual attendee. We have provided some information below to help you start your application process. This information is provided for informational purposes only. Conference attendees must ensure their travel requirements are met.
ASME is unable to provide direct guidance, legal advice, or documentation beyond their standard letter of invitation. Letters of invitation are not customizable. If you require assistance with your application, we recommend contacting the embassy or consulate in your home country for official resources.
You can obtain an invitation letter in two ways:
- On acceptance of your abstract submission to Turbo Expo: A link to a downloadable letter is included in your abstract acceptance email.
- If you have an accepted submission but cannot locate this letter, please submit a Help Ticket
- Registration: You can request an invitation during the registration process. Once you complete and pay for your registration, our Events team can send you a pdf invitation letter if requested. Hard copy letters are provided for a fee and can be requested during registration.
Letters will contain more instructions and the special event code. We are unable to customize Invitation Letters.
An "invite code" and the "Special Event Code" are two different identifiers. The visa applicant must first create an on-line account (called a GC Key). Once they have created this account they then receive an "invite code", this code is entered in the IRCC Portal - they enter their invite code and email address etc here. They do not enter the Special Event Code from the Letter of Invitation; this code is only used once they have started the actual visa application process
