Registration Overview
- Registration is required prior to uploading your final paper.
- For each Technical Publication, Technical Presentation or Poster, a minimum of one author must be registered at the appropriate Member or Non Member rate according to their membership status (member, non-member, student member, student non-member, life member etc.)
- At least one author from each submission must register at their appropriate rate by August 19th.
- Presentations MUST be presented only by an Author on that paper. No exceptions.
- Papers presented by a Non-Author (of that paper) will NOT be published in the conference proceedings.

- Rates are based on Category and Membership… irrespective of author status.
- Attendees who pay the Non-Member registration rate will be offered a 4 month trial ASME Membership (complimentary) following the conference.
Conference Registration Includes:
- Access to all conference sessions including technical presentations, keynote sessions, plenary sessions, panel discussions and lunches.
- Admission to networking sessions including coffee breaks and welcome reception.
- Online access to all IMECE 2025 final accepted papers.
Notice for US Government Employees:
March 5, 2025 ASME is aware of the current freeze on purchase cards. We want to ensure that the paper submission process remains uninterrupted for you and the entire conference team. If you are a government employee affected by this freeze, please provide your name, government affiliation, and paper number using this link. The WebTool team will notify you when you can submit your final paper.
Avoid Delays!
- Confirm your existing ASME membership status now, or join/renew to receive the member rate for the conference registration.
- Contact customercare@asme.org for more information.
- Allow approximately 1 week to process/renew memberships.
- Ensure that your Username and Password is the same for BOTH your paper submission account as well as your membership account.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR AUTHORS/PRESENTERS: Author registration deadline for is August 19, 2025. At least one author of accepted submissions must register and pay by August 19, 2025 in order to be able to submit the final paper or keep a submission in the program.

Cancellation Policy: Refund requests made prior to October 17, 2025, will be granted minus a $100 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted after October 17, 2025. NO EXCEPTIONS. No-shows will not be eligible for refunds.
Student Registration Rates and Identification
- Student registration rates are only available to undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled full-time and have not yet received their Ph.D. Post-docs may not register as students.
- Student identification will need to be provided onsite when picking up name badge. International student identification must be presented in Roman alphabet. If an ID is not in this format, students may present a letter from their university, on university letterhead as a second form of ID. If the identification is not validated, the attendee will need to register in one of the non-student registration categories. No exceptions will be made.
Group Registration: Group registration is for groups of 10. Please contact events@asme.org for assistance with group registration. All group registrations must be paid in full by October 16, 2024.
Complimentary Membership: Attendees who pay the Non-Member registration rate will be offered a complimentary 4-month ASME trial membership following the conference. ASME will contact eligible registrants and invite them to join ASME within 90 days after the conference. For more information, visit the ASME Membership website.
Letters of Invitation: You will be able to request your Conference Letter of Invitation during the Registration process which will be sent as a PDF attachment via email. If you require a hard copy invitation letter to be mailed to you, you may request and pay for a hard copy invitation letter during the registration process. Once your fee is paid in full, your letter will be sent within 2-3 weeks.
Badge Pick-Up Information: Badges will not be mailed. All badges must be picked-up onsite. Photo identification is required for badge pick-up at the on-site registration desk. Full Payment is required to attend IMECE 2025. Badges will not be given to anyone with an outstanding payment.
Insurance and Liability: Participation in IMECE 2025 is at your own risk. Please make your own health and travel insurance arrangements.
Photos/Videos/Audio Recordings: Participants are reminded that material presented at ASME conferences is under the copyright of ASME. As a result, participants are prohibited from recording, screen-capturing, or photographing presentations in their entirety with the intent to distribute them to others.
