AUTHOR/PRESENTER REQUIREMENT
You are entitled to present up to two papers on which you are listed as an author. Only an author of a paper is permitted to present that paper.

Please be advised that ASME will:

  • Check to ensure all papers have an author registered to present. Notification will be sent to the presenting author of a paper if a non-author is registered and identified as presenting the paper.
  • Check to ensure that an author is not presenting more than two papers.

AUTHOR/PRESENTER ATTENDANCE POLICY
The ASME Presenter Attendance Policy is such that if a paper is not presented at the conference by an author / co-author of the paper, it will not be published in the official archival proceedings, which are registered with the Library of Congress and abstracted and indexed.

REGISTRATION FEE CATEGORIES

Author is applicable for a Presenting Author of a Paper. Regardless of whether you are a member or not, if you are a presenting author; you will utilize this category prior to the March 24th deadline. This category will allow you to upload your final paper once you have completed and paid for registration.

Member Rate is applicable to a current member of ASME. If you are a Member, who also happens to be an author; you will select this category.

Non-Member Rate is applicable to attendees who are NOT an ASME Member. This includes authors who are not ASME Members. This tier includes a four-month Free Trial Membership following the Conference. ASME will contact you after the Conference to provide further details.

Student Member: Student registration rates are only available to undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled full time and have not yet received their Ph.D. Post-docs cannot register as students. If you are a Student attendee or a student author who IS a ASME Member, please select this category.

Student Non-Member: Student registration rates are only available to undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled full time and have not yet received their Ph.D. Post-docs cannot register as students. If you are a Student attendee, or student author who is NOT a member of ASME; please select this category.

For each technical publication and technical presentation, a minimum of one author must be registered per paper/presentation.

Proof of student status is required to confirm the student rate. Proof consists of a copy of the student's identification card or a letter from the institution's registrar verifying student status. Student identification will need to be provided during onsite registration when picking up badge. If identification is not provided, the registration will be changed to Non-Member rate.

One-Day Rate is only available for purchase on-site during the Conference and is applicable to members and non-members attending the Conference for one day. An author cannot register at the one-day rate and present a paper.

Short Courses are being offered Saturday, June 21st, and Sunday, June 22nd, prior to the conference start. These courses will overlap with our Outreach Forum on Sunday, June 22nd, please plan accordingly.

Accompanying Person: ***This category does not permit any access to technical content during the conference. Technical Content is defined as: Opening Ceremony, Keynote, Plenary, Afternoon Lecture Series, and Technical Sessions. This pass allow you to bring a guest during the networking events that happen during the conference. Admission into any event not explicitly listed below will NOT be allowed. No badge will be provided for Accompanying Persons. They are expected to enter the reception with the Conference Attendee. If you wish to participate in the technical content, you must purchase one of the other registration options.***

REGISTRATION DEADLINES
The registration fee category is determined by when payment is received. Regular registration fees will be charged onsite for any unpaid pre-registrations. The deadline for pre-Conference registration is Friday, June 20, 2025.

Registrations will also be accepted onsite. The registration deadlines are as follows:

  • Presenting Authors: March 24, 2025 (by 23:59 EDT)
  • Early Bird Fee: March 24, 2025 (by 23:59 EDT)
  • Advanced Fee: March 25, 2025 to June 20, 2025 (by 23:59 EDT)
  • Online Registration Closes: June 20, 2025 (by 23:59 EDT)
  • Onsite Registration Opens: June 22, 2025 (by 23:59 EDT)

PAYMENT, CONFIRMATION AND RECEIPT
All payments are due in USD. Registration fees are determined by when payment is received. Registrants who pay their registration fee after March 24th, 2025, will be charged the Advanced registration fee, or Onsite registration fee; based on when your payment is received.

A confirmation email will be sent shortly after you register including a receipt/invoice.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
a.) All requests for cancellation or refund must be submitted in writing by email to rojasd@asme.org and toolboxhelp@asme.org.

b.) Requests for refund must be made in advance of May 23rd, 2025 (11:59PM EST) to receive a refund, a $100 administrative fee will be charged.

c.) Requests made after May 23rd, 2025 (11:59PM EST) will not be granted; fees are not refundable.

Registration and presenting author substitutions are not permitted.

Short Courses Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations made until May 23, 2025, will receive a refund, less the administration fee of 100 USD. Refunds are not available after May 23, 2025.

ASME reserves the right to cancel a Short Course if enrolment is insufficient to ensure maximum effectiveness. This decision is made approximately two weeks before the course begins, and registrants will receive a full refund or be given the opportunity to transfer to another course. Please keep this cancellation policy in mind when making airline reservations, as ASME cannot be responsible for fees charged for cancelling or changing your airline ticket. Course students are responsible for handling all travel arrangements and the costs associated with their travel.

Individuals take part in the OMAE 2025 Conference at their own risk and are responsible for their own health and travel insurance arrangements.


OTHER REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Wheelchair Access and Special Assistance If you require special assistance, please indicate your requirements during the registration process.

Please identify your dietary requirements during the registration process so that we can make arrangements in advance. Please note we may not be able to accommodate dietary requirements provided after May 23, 2025.

To confirm if you require a travel visa to enter Canada, please check with a Canadian Embassy/Consulate. In the meantime, you may use this link as a guide.

Should you need an entry visa, please contact the Canadian Embassy/Consulate in your region or a passport/visa service to obtain one as soon as possible to allow time for processing.

Accepted authors will receive an abstract acceptance email that will contain a link to download their letter of invitation (aka VISA Letter). Please refer to your abstract acceptance email notification for that link.

For all other registrants, you will be able to request a Letter of Invitation during the Registration process. It will be emailed to you within 48 business hours.

Individuals take part in the OMAE 2025 Conference and its events at their own risk and are responsible for their own health and travel insurance arrangements, and ensuring they meet the entry requirements to Singapore, ASME events and their returning country.

ASME and its partners / suppliers are committed to the safety and well-being of all in person participants and will be adhering to the health rules and regulations that are in place at the time of the Conference. For the most up to date information, visit the Singapore Ministry of Health.

The official language of the Conference is English.

By registering for the conference you consent to ASME collecting, processing, reviewing, and transferring sensitive personal data related to you in connection with the processing activities as described in the event data processing policy. You also consent to the transfer of any such data outside of the country in which you live, or where the personal data has been collected or processed, including specifically to the United States, for the purposes described above, even where the country or territory in question does not maintain data protection standards which are equivalent to those which apply in your home country. Your information may be shared with the government of Canada if they so request it.
