The Advanced Institute for Ocean Research (AIOR) of Southern University of Science and Technology is a scientific research institution, dedicated to efficiently conducting organized scientific research, coordinating ocean-related resources, planning and undertaking major strategic tasks in the ocean field, and enhancing the university's capability for innovation in ocean science and technology. The AIOR is leading the task of establishing the Shenzhen Ocean University, the Deep Ocean Research Center, and the Ocean Museum.
