Our Italian partners, MiCodmc, can provide attendees with a Business Invitation Letter (Lettera di visto per affari) required by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for visa applications.
This letter is different from the standard Conference Invitation Letter and is only needed for participants from certain countries (Africa, Asia, the Middle East, amongst others). For details on entry and visa requirements, visit: vistoperitalia.esteri.it.
To issue the letter, MiCodmc requires:
- Proof of conference registration
- Proof of hotel reservation
- Passport information
- Proof of airline tickets
- (If applicable) Invitation letter from the Conference Organizer (supplied by ASME either via an author's abstract acceptance email or requested during registration)
- Additional information may be required depending on the country.
Participants must also complete documentation verifying employment status and acknowledging their responsibilities in the visa process.
